One of our favourite things to do as a family is go for cockles at Beagle Bay. It is a very special place that holds strong memories, connection and meaning for our family. Being there is about more than just gathering food — it is about being together on Country, feeling connected to land, sea and culture.
We spend time fishing, camping and sitting together, slowing down and enjoying being with one another. As the day ends, we sit around the fire with the kids and their Nana, sharing stories, laughter and memories. These moments are about passing knowledge, culture and stories to the younger generation, keeping family connection and culture strong.
